Midland University’s Center for Graduate and Professional Studies (CGPS) provides students with opportunities for advancement through master’s degrees, certificates, and professional endorsements. Our experienced faculty and staff help students reach their full potential.
Designed for working professionals, CGPS offers a variety of programs that can support your career goals!
The Doctor of Education (EdD) in Leadership and Innovation is a rigorous program designed for mid-career professionals from a range of industries who are interested in driving positive systemic change within their organizations.
The Midland University MS in Business Intelligence and Analytics degree teaches students how to mine, interpret, and build the communication techniques to convey data insights into strategic decision making.
Graduates of the MBA program will demonstrate highly developed analytic and communication skills, a thoughtful approach to ethical decision making, and mastery of the tools and concepts it takes to be a respected leader in business.
This program is designed to prepare students to creatively address the needs of stakeholders within an athletic organization while developing your administration and leadership skills.
In this program, students learn to identify the training needs of an organization, design effective and engaging trainings for adult learners, maximize the use of current technologies, and evaluate the impact of instruction.
This program is a traditional full-time program that prepares students to take the Board of Certification (BOC) Examination to become licensed as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).
This program offers those who teach, train, coach, and mentor the opportunity to advance their professional practice through the development of leadership skills and hands-on experiences.
This program has been designed to extend the expertise of educators who currently hold a teaching certificate with one or more special education endorsement(s).
In this program, students will build upon skills used in the classroom to gain an understanding of the types of decisions and leadership skills that are necessary to have at an administrative level.
With this endorsement, a teacher can advance to positions within their district like an ESL coordinator, or ESL facilitator which often comes with advanced pay and responsibilities.
In this program, students gain the skills and confidence to teach all levels of the classroom and across the spectrum of abilities to promote the success and well-being of every learner.
In this program, students will obtain the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to teach, consult, and provide services related to behavioral needs for children with disabilities, birth through age 21, grades PK-6, or grades 7-12.
With this certificate, teachers can feel prepared to handle disruptive behaviors by learning how to effectively use behavior management techniques.
Grounded in the National Board’s Five Core Propositions that describe what teachers should know and be able to do, the certification process is designed to collect standards-based evidence of accomplished practice.
Students can earn a certificate of completion as part of the MBA at Midland University or as a standalone option for professionals looking to enhance their skills in a specific area, such as Project Management or Business Strategy.
Web development is an in-demand skill with a market that is increasingly difficult to break into. In the Midland Code Academy, we’ll make sure that you’re fully prepared to network your way into an interview, explain your technical expertise, and take on any programming challenge.
Students who participate in our workshops can expect to learn new skills and strategies that they can immediately apply to their professional lives.
With a need for skills and talent to meet and serve the community, Midland opened its doors in Omaha in the spring of 2017 to provide adult learners and non-traditional students access to our many programs.
In the fall of the same year, Midland Omaha was officially established as the Center for Graduate and Professional Studies. In partnership with local businesses and nonprofit organizations, Midland has been operating and providing a relentlessly relevant graduate and professional experience for its students.
To ensure that all students in our programs receive a personalized educational experience, our admissions and advising teams work hard to support each student’s needs individually.
