Tuition, Fees, & Financial Aid
Midland University’s team of experienced professionals is dedicated to guiding you and your family through the financial aid process. All Midland students receive financial aid.
At Midland, We Keep It Simple
There is no financial aid deadline at Midland University, but students who start the financial aid process earliest receive the broadest range of financial aid options. You can begin your Midland financial aid process with two simple steps:
- Apply for admission to Midland University.
- After being accepted, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and enter Midland’s Title IV Code: 002553.
If you have completed these two steps, we will mail your award package to you after March 1st.
2024-2025 FAFSA Filing
Due to the FAFSA Simplification Act and changes to the 2024-2025 FAFSA, the Department of Education will not be ready to open the 2024-2025 FAFSA until sometime in December 2023.
Midland Financial Aid will update this information when the 2024-2025 FAFSA is available.

Additional Ways to Fund Your Education
On-Campus and Off-Campus Employment
Midland University offers on-campus employment, also known as Work-Study, to all students. Getting started is simple; you just need to apply for a position through the Handshake job board on Midland University’s Career Studio page and be hired by the position supervisor.
Typical work assignments range from three to seven hours per week. Besides providing additional finances, on-campus employment offers students an opportunity to gain professional experience with positions offered in administrative and faculty offices, the library, residence halls, and campus maintenance.
Off-campus employment is also readily available for Midland students. The Fremont community and surrounding areas have long been very supportive of Midland and offer our students numerous part-time employment opportunities. Off-campus opportunities can be found on Midland University’s Career Center page, as well.
Nelnet Payment Plan
Midland University is pleased to help families enroll in an interest-free payment plan to split each semester’s total educational cost into monthly payments. Enrollment can be set up online through the student’s Warrior Central account at my.midlandu.edu; from the student’s home page, click on “Manage My Account.” Registration becomes available after July 15 for the fall semester and January 8 for the spring semester.
For more information, please refer to our Payment Options page.
Federal Parent PLUS Loan
The PLUS loan allows a credit-worthy parent to borrow to cover a student’s educational costs. Parents can use their FSA ID to apply for the loan at www.studentaid.gov after April 1. For more information, please refer to our Payment Options page.
Private Student Loan
The Financial Aid Office does not provide a preferred lender list for private education loans. However, we do offer FastChoice as a tool to compare lenders’ interest rates in real-time. As a borrower, you have the right to choose any private lender that you prefer, regardless of whether they are listed on the FastChoice tool or not. When reviewing different private loan programs, be sure to compare loan fees, interest rates, repayment, etc. For more information, please refer to our Payment Options page.
