Warrior Skills

Warrior Skills aims to assist students by focusing on four pillar core areas: Personal Enhancement, Social Responsibility, Leadership, and Career Development. A variety of workshops take place throughout the year that can guide students through everything from time management to handling stress.
Personal Enhancement: Warrior Skills hosts a variety of workshops that give the students the opportunity to grow in their personal development so that they can be successful in college. Some of these workshops include; time management, how to develop a growth mindset, stress management, finding your purpose, and much more.
Social Responsibility: Warrior Skills hosts a yearly Equity and Inclusion Summit, which allows the campus to come together to discuss these important topics! Midland University also hosts a yearly “Mission Week”, which allows our students to take part in various community service initiatives as a whole campus.
Leadership: Warrior Skills hosts a variety of workshops around the topic of leadership and how to become an effective leader. Warrior Skills also collaborates with the US Marine Corps to host a Warrior Leadership Academy for students to grow in their leadership skills.
Career Development: Warrior Skills collaborates with our Career Studio to put on multiple career/professional development events on topics such as building your LinkedIn, how to apply to graduate school, and resume building.
The goal of these workshops is to teach life skills so that students feel ready to face whatever challenges they may encounter in their college career, or afterward in professional life. We want them to have the skills that can allow them to be successful.”
