Students may pursue a painting concentration under the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree requires the student to choose an area of intensive studio practice, such as painting. Painting intensively from the still life, the landscape and the figure, students will enhance levels of perception and ability to observe the world around them. Combining pictorial composition, color theory, value structure, and spatial concepts, students will expand their work ethic and desire to create. The BFA is considered the appropriate preparation for those wishing to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts.
