ADVANTAGES OF THE PROGRAM

Career-Focused

The Midland University MBA is designed to produce graduates who demonstrate highly developed analytic and communication skills, a thoughtful approach to ethical decision-making, and mastery of the tools and concepts it takes to be a respected leader in business. In the final course in the program, the Consulting Capstone students are challenged to lead capstone consulting projects that bring their professional experiences and the many analytic skills and strategic skills they have developed during the course of the program to participate in real-world projects, to be defined in collaboration with a host company and a faculty advisor. Students will invest about 200 hours during the capstone experience to address a problem or an opportunity for growth and change for a local organization. In addition to the dynamic learning environment and relevant experience, students get a unique opportunity to expand their professional network.

Collaborative

The program is offered in a cohort model, which means students progress class-by-class together as a group, building valuable networks that can serve them beyond graduation. Our MBA program faculty are experts in their fields, currently connected to what it takes to succeed in business today. In addition to their impressive backgrounds, our MBA faculty share a passion for teaching and a desire to help students succeed as they develop their business skill sets. They will help you map the governing theories of business disciplines while bringing the material to life with real-world examples of business successes and failures taken from experience in their careers as business leaders.

Affordable

Because students begin their MBA at BVP, they take fewer courses in the United States. And the courses offered by Midland University are offered at an extremely affordable rate, so students save significantly on their entire degree.

AMERICAN WORK EXPERIENCE
with the Midland University MBA program with BVP

Midland University offers opportunities for students in the MBA program to learn about American enterprises through work experiences.

16-Week Capstone

The required 16-week Capstone provides hands-on work experience with a local company, focusing on a specific problem or program at the organization. It is structured to give students knowledge and insight about how American enterprises operate on a day-to-day level. At the same time, students have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and abilities to the American company which can possibly lead to an internship if the company has an opening.

Optional Practical Training (OPT)

Graduates of the program are eligible to stay in the United States for an additional 12 months for Optional Practical Training (OPT). Each program participant who is interested in pursuing OPT will have an opportunity to meet with the Midland University Career Studio to explore industry-specific channels, networking events, and online platforms to enhance your internship search for the OPT. The Career Studio will help the student explore options for interviews and advise the student on best practices for interviewing.

Career Fair

Every February, Midland University hosts a Career Fair attended by more than 100 employers, which BVP students would be invited to attend. These contacts often lead to internships with local companies and partners of the university.
