Why did you come to Midland?

I came to Midland because I loved that the campus was small enough to feel like a home away from home. On my visit, I thought it was cool that the person who toured me knew a ton of people’s names!

What do you enjoy most about living in the residence halls?

I love that I can wake up later and get to class quicker! I also love living in a community of other college students so I can hang out with people all the time but still have my own room to study and do homework in.

What makes Midland special?

I think that the small feel of the campus makes Midland special. The staff and professors truly care about us as students, so that makes Midland special too!

What advice do you have for incoming students?

Start off strong academically. It’s easier to start strong than to have to struggle to catch up later!

Why did you come to Midland?

Initially, I came to Midland to play volleyball. Midland offered the best athletic program and supplied the most genuine and caring staff. I fell in love with the small campus feel and the ability to truly get to know my fellow students and instructors.

What do you enjoy most about living in the residence halls?

The residence halls provide a fun atmosphere that allows me to stay closely connected to my friends on campus. Student affairs and RAs work diligently to make halls feel like home. Furthermore, residence halls give me the convenience of close proximity to the classrooms and athletic departments.

What makes Midland special?

Faith and friends make Midland special. I have become a loved member of the community of believers on campus. I have been blessed by the number of people who have encouraged me to intentionally pursue the kingdom of God.

What advice do you have for incoming students?

Try anything and everything; never settle into something you do not enjoy. College is about figuring out who you are and what you love… you can’t accomplish that without being yourself and trusting your gut!
