Seven Paths to Earn a Midland Scholarship
Midland University offers numerous avenues for students to earn scholarships, and the process is easy!
At Midland, 100% of our students receive financial aid and the average financial aid award for an undergraduate student is more than $34,500, which covers 77% of tuition, fees, and room and board. Through academics, athletics, performing arts, partnerships, and other programs, Midland provides a variety of scholarship opportunities to draw on the wide range of skills students possess.

Academics
Students can gain access to and earn scholarships through academic achievements. Through their academic accomplishments, students can earn up to $25,000 per year in financial aid by meeting various requirements. Individual student packages will vary depending on high school GPA.

Anderson Leader
The Anderson Leader Program is a leadership and academic scholarship program that creates opportunities for emerging young leaders. To be eligible for this $23,000 scholarship, students need to have a 3.0 high school GPA and apply. The scholarship can be renewed on a yearly basis by maintaining a 3.0 GPA and meeting annual requirements.

Partnerships + Community Involvement
Through various partnerships, Midland University can provide students an opportunity for additional scholarship money. Midland’s partnership list features several community partners, high schools, athletic organizations, and volunteer groups.

Arts
Midland University offers scholarships to students in all areas of the arts. Arts scholarships are available regardless of the degree program. Scholarships are available in choir, band, speech and debate, theatre, technical arts, strings, collaborative piano, dance, and studio arts.

Athletics
With 33 varsity sports, Midland University has the largest athletic program in the state of Nebraska, offering everything from football and volleyball to shotgun and eSports. Midland provides opportunities to not only compete at a high level but also develop skills and build character both on and off the field.

Howard Hanson Honors Program
Through the Howard Hanson Honors Program, students will have the opportunity to travel, participate in national and local events, receive up to $25,000 per year in scholarships, and earn an honors diploma. Acceptance into the program requires a 3.5 GPA or a composite ACT score of 27 or higher, and students must complete an application and interview.

Program of Study
With its wide array of more than 30 academic programs, Midland University offers generous scholarships for a student’s program of study. The Midland Premier Nursing Scholarship and The Dunklau School of Business Scholarship are just a few examples of specific academic scholarships.
