‘Endless possibilities.’ Midland University Celebrates 140 Years of Academic Success

Entering its 140th year, Midland University is working to help students earn their degrees – and so much more.
Midland offers opportunities in more than 30 undergraduate academic areas, 24 graduate programs, and a wide range of professional programs at both our Fremont and Omaha locations.
Midland is a gateway to endless possibilities. Its campus will provide students with the support and resources they need to succeed in the classroom and across campus.
Small class sizes and a tight-knit campus ensure that students will always be recognized by their name rather than as a number. Students develop more than just intellectual knowledge at Midland. With a bold and modern approach to a liberal arts education, Midland offers broad-based learning in multiple disciplines with hands-on learning to build in-demand skills.
Featuring an enrollment of nearly 1,600 students, Midland students come from many different places and backgrounds. During the 2022-23 school year, Midland featured students from 39 states and 25 other countries, helping make it one of the most diverse campuses in the state.
Midland works with students to make college affordable, as 100 percent of Midland students receive financial aid, and scholarships are earned through academic, athletic, and performing arts programs.
Nearly 90 percent of Midland students are involved in extracurricular activities, allowing them to build memories and relationships that will last a lifetime.
Featuring the largest athletic department in the state with 33 varsity sports, Midland allows athletes to learn from world-class coaches and mentors who will help foster success both on and off the field. Student-athletes compete and excel at a national level.
Midland University Arts guides students in all areas of the arts, offering education, performance, and opportunities in Theatre, Vocal and Instrumental Music, Dance, Technical Arts, Art & Design, and Speech & Debate. The next generation of performing artists and leaders are being trained at Midland.
By working from the marketplace back, Midland can equip students with the skills necessary to succeed in the world and provide them with dynamic and innovative learning experiences in their college journey. In its continued mission to inspire others to learn and lead in the world with purpose, Midland University graduates will be well-prepared for whatever path they choose after college. Midland features a 96 percent success rate among its graduates, meaning that within six months after graduation, those graduates are either employed or continuing their education in graduate school.
In showing its flexibility in working to meet students wherever they are in life, Midland Online was introduced in the summer of 2023, offering both graduate and doctoral online learning in a wide range of programs.
In addition to the traditional on-campus undergraduate offerings, Midland University Online offers 24 online programs that feature a doctoral degree, masters degrees, graduate degrees, certificates and endorsements that will allow students to advance their careers.
