Master of Athletic Training
At Midland University, we believe sports help students learn lasting life lessons and build character. With 33 varsity sports in the NAIA, Midland is home to Nebraska’s largest athletic department and more than 900 student-athletes. Our athletic training students will have hands-on training in various team and individual sports, allowing diverse and comprehensive educational and clinical experiences.
With a smaller school experience, Master of Athletic Training students will have access to various interprofessional opportunities with our growing Human Performance and Nursing programs. Midland’s recently opened Simulation Lab allows students hands-on experience with mannequins exhibiting a variety of conditions, and the renovated dedicated Athletic Training space provides a home for athletic training development.
Midland University is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), located at 6850 Austin Center Blvd., Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731-3184. The program will have its next comprehensive review during the (2023-2024) academic year.
The Master of Athletic Training program’s mission is to provide future Athletic Training professionals with the knowledge, skills, and practice to be successful in a wide range of professional settings.
