Midland University and Valmont® Industries Inc. Announce MBA Partnership

07/28/21

OMAHA, NEB. (PRWEB) JUNE 30, 2021

Midland University, recognized as one of the fastest-growing universities in the Midwest, has partnered with Valmont, a global leader of engineered products and services for infrastructure and water-conserving irrigation equipment, to offer Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees to Valmont employees. Those interested in earning an MBA will be able to participate in Midland’s recently redesigned MBA program. The program is specifically designed for busy working professionals who need an online program’s flexibility, but are still looking to build upon their professional network through interactions with peers and faculty during the in-person courses.

“Midland University operates on the ideal of continuous improvement, growth and relevancy, and we look for students and corporate partners who share this same belief,” said Merritt Nelson, vice president of enrollment management and marketing at Midland University. “Valmont embodies this ideal and we are thrilled to partner with them to help their employees get an MBA their way in our recently redesigned program.”

Midland’s corporate partnership program is designed to provide upskilling and professional development opportunities to employees from various organizations in the Omaha metro and Lincoln areas. The partnership with Valmont aims to provide professional development opportunities to upskill and reskill employees.

“We are excited to partner with Midland University and provide our Omaha-area employees the opportunity to grow and develop their leadership skills by pursuing an advanced business degree,” said Renae Slaughter, manager of leadership development at Valmont. “Having the ability to customize their courses and path, as well as being able to apply credits from our internal Leadership Essentials program, are huge benefits. They also mirror our commitment to improving lives around the world, including those of our employees.”

The Valmont investment in the tuition assistance program, combined with Midland’s investment through a partner scholarship, could potentially save employees up to 80% on the tuition toward the MBA. This scholarship is part of the benefit package that Midland offers its corporate partners to aid employees in earning their MBA degrees while working full time. Additionally, if Valmont employees have completed the company’s internal Leadership Essentials program, they can transfer up to nine credits of prior learning into the MBA, awarding them with an Applied Leadership certificate of completion.

Valmont employees choosing to pursue their MBA will begin coursework in August 2021. Students can complete the accelerated, nine-month MBA program or they can choose to pursue the customizable MBA Your Way model by selecting their courses and path.
