That’s right – in the Fall of 2023 you can participate in Striv Education at your high school and earn college credit from Midland University at the same time!
Midland University and Striv Education are invested in your future. Together, we are dedicated to providing you the skills, experience, and now credit towards a college degree through your participation in Striv Education.
Game Day Operations is a newly formatted 3-credit hour online course offered by Midland University that allows students the opportunity to participate in Striv Education in their school and seamlessly follow a curriculum built on the foundation of game day skills.
Game Day Operations Course Information
Term: Fall 2023
Course Description: There is a lot that goes into making a sporting event successful including the ticketing, concessions, in-game entertainment, live stream, game statistics, and so much more! This course covers the basics of game-day operations to ensure that things run smoothly and provides students with opportunities to practice areas within operations.
Course credit hours: 3
Delivered: ‘Online’ and students will be required to log hours practicing their skills in various roles related to game day. Hours will be signed off by a supervisor in attendance.

Midland + Striv Education Scholarship

Midland University, in partnership with Striv Education, is offering 25 Striv Scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year. Each of the 25 scholarships will be a $25,000 renewable scholarship to Midland University for a total value of $100,000 per scholarship.
The deadline to apply for this scholarship is February 22, 2024.

Scholarship Application Process
Interested Striv Education students must follow the steps outlined below to be considered for the available scholarships. Participation in Striv Education programs and live-streaming at your school along with Striv Education activities (camps, conferences, StrivU Academy, and others) will be part of the selection consideration.
- Complete the application form.
- Submit a letter of recommendation from the Striv Education teacher at your school
- Give your response in no more than 2-3 paragraphs to ONE of the following prompts:
- How has being involved with Striv Education and other creative media projects at your school helped prepare you for your desired college major?
- One of Striv Education’s missions is to “ignite your creative genius.” How do you plan to ignite your creative skills at Midland University?
- Striv Education helps share interesting happenings at your school. As a college student, how would you share information with fellow classmates?

*Striv Education Scholarships require a minimum 3.0 GPA and are contingent upon acceptance to Midland University as a full-time undergraduate student. Striv Education Scholarships are non-stackable with other Midland University scholarships, but outside (non-Midland funded) scholarships, grants, and awards can be added to Striv scholarships. Applicants not selected for the Striv Education scholarships may still be eligible for scholarships from Midland University and will be reviewed accordingly.
