Lutherfest is a biennial gathering of alumni who attended Luther Academy and/or Luther College, formerly in Wahoo, Nebraska. Attendees gather for 3 days (June 21-23, 2013) to sing, worship and reminisce. Many Luther alumni participate in volunteer roles throughout the weekend which begins in Fremont on the Midland University campus, and includes a sing-along, reunions, Vespers, Swedish Smorgasbord, worship at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wahoo, etc.

Honored Family

For decades, the Goldberg family has nourished and upheld the values and ideals upon which Luther College was founded. The family has strives to serve others, and in so doing, has carried the mission of the College forward into all walks of life.  They have continuously demonstrate their loyal support of the institution. It is with appreciation that the Goldberg family is recognized as the Distinguished Luther Family of 2013.  The Goldbergs have a three generation connection to Luther/Midland, including Clara (Goldberg) Swanson and Reuben Goldberg, both of whom worked at Luther and took classes. Also included among the first-generation of Goldberg's was Luther Goldberg, who died in the summer of 2009 at the age of 106 years of age.
