"We are pleased to have Pinnacle Bank partner with us in the sixth year of this award," said Midland President Ben Sasse. "This event brings well-deserved recognition to student-leaders who have already made lasting positive impacts on their communities."
 

On hand to recognize students were Gov. Dave Heineman, Midland University President Ben Sasse, and Scott Meister, Fremont Market President of Pinnacle Bank, along with parents and school representatives.

The Pinnacle Bank Outstanding Leaders award is presented annually to high school juniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership potential through community involvement.
 

Award winners who enroll at Midland University in the fall of 2014 will also receive a $1,000 scholarship. This leadership scholarship encourages students to continue to develop leadership traits well after high school. Students earning the award were nominated by a high school counselor, teacher, administrator, or other community leader.
