Tartuffe

Tartuffe, a play written by Moliere, is about a “poor holy man”, a con artist, who is staying at the wealthy Orgon’s home. Tartuffe needs a way to make money and has his eyes set on Orgon. Orgon, a servant of the king, and Madame Pernelle, Orgon’s mother, are the only two people in Orgon’s house who do not believe that Tartuffe is an imposter pretending to be moral and religious. Will his lies be discovered, or will he deceive them all and sneak away like a thief in the night?
