This musical depicts the loveable Ingalls family’s trip westward and their eventual residency in De Smet, South Dakota, where Ma and Pa Ingalls aspire to provide a better life for their children, through the enchantment of live theater. We show the Ingalls experiencing the trials of winter blizzards and prairie fires as well as celebrating the settlement of land in iconic stories, vibrant songs, and exhilarating dances. The plot mostly follows Laura as she develops into a lady who accepts the responsibilities of her own destiny while trying to continue to be true to herself.
