The ARTs at Midland Hosting Coffee Cabaret Benefit

Mar 6th , 2012

The ARTs at Midland invites the area community to a Coffee House Cabaret this Saturday evening, March 10.  The special event will provide an evening of performances by Midland students beginning at 7 p.m. in the Midland Events Center Lobby.

“Our students are looking forward to showcasing their talent and perform some of material they’ve been perfecting this semester,” said Erin Bradley, Director of Performing Arts. “They’re excited for this show, which will help provide funding for an upcoming arts trip. We appreciate the support of our growing program and the great audience we have here in Fremont.”

The Coffee House Cabaret will highlight the talents of many Midland ARTs students, including a performance from Short Attention Span, Midland’s student improv group, along with musical selections from more than a dozen soloists and various Midland vocal groups. A number of visual art projects will be on display as well, and ARTs students will be hosting the event serving coffee and dessert throughout the evening.

Proceeds from the benefit will help approximately 20 students take part in an upcoming performing arts tour and workshop in southern California.

Tickets are available from students at the Fremont Hy-Vee this week from 5 to 7 p.m. for $20. Tickets can also be purchased at the door on Saturday evening.
