Academic Resource Center

The Academic Resource Center at Midland University offers a wide variety of support to help students be successful in their classes. Peer led subject-matter tutoring is a primary service offered. Midland Math Lab

Midland University provides students with help in math courses. The Midland Math Lab is located inside the Academic Resource Center which is housed in Luther Library. Midland Speech Center

At the Midland University Speech Center, our mission is to help you feel more comfortable preparing and speaking in front of others.  During your appointment you can: brainstorm topics, get help organizing your speech, build outlines, find sources, create visual aids, and practice delivery. Please see the schedule for availability. Midland Writing Center

At Midland University’s Writing Center, we provide support for all writers. We believe that writing is a social, recursive process and we are dedicated to creating a culture across campus that inspires writers to learn and lead in the world with purpose. Please see the schedule for availability. Quiz Lab

The Quiz Lab in Luther Library are as follows:

  • Monday and Tuesday 8 a.m.- 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday and Thursday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Supplemental Instruction

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a peer facilitated academic support program that targets traditionally challenging courses to improve student success. The SI Leader will offer three regularly scheduled review sessions per week. The SI Leader has already successfully completed the course and has been selected for this position by the faculty member. All students enrolled in an SI class are invited to attend the review sessions.
