Luther College Alumni

Luther College and Academy began in Wahoo, Nebraska, in 1883. The college merged with Midland College in 1962 under a new name, Midland Lutheran College (now Midland University). After the merger, in tribute to the former institution, Midland named its library "Luther Library," and campus markers, such as the sundial and the Luther College arch, were moved from the Wahoo campus to stand in front of the library.

Every other year, Luther College alumni gather on the Midland campus for Lutherfest, a celebration featuring class reunions, presentation of Luther alumni awards, a Swedish Smorgasbord banquet, recognition of a distinguished Luther family, and other events. Lutherfest includes a trip to Wahoo to worship at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and to visit the Saunders County Museum which maintains an exhibit of Luther College memorabilia.

Lutherfest 2013 is scheduled for June 21-23. Click here for more information.
